Shoring & Excavation Support

Description

Shoring and excavation support is the process of temporarily or permanently supporting an excavation. Shoring is often required to safely provide construction access and/or sequencing of construction. It may also be provided to protect existing structure from expected movement or nearby construction activities. Typical shoring methods consist of: Secant wall (caisson wall), Piles and Lagging (Soldier Piles), Sheet Piling, Shotcrete and Soil Nailing. These systems can be deployed as either internally or externals braced. Internal bracing is conducted with structural steel sections while external bracing is completed with either a micropile tieback or a helical tieback.
